This year’s Budget continues the efforts on regional rail, investing $615 million to deliver reliable and connected public transport for our regional communities. That includes:

–         $340 million to build up to 18 new VLocity trains, replacing older trains on some of our busiest regional lines.

–         $49.6 million will deliver three new stations in and around Bendigo, alongside planning the re-establishment of a station atHarcourt.

–         $19 million to improve reliability and punctuality of regional services with stabling and maintenance improvements.
